Ice Cream tRUCK OF rIGHTS
Summer Project in Partnership with the City of NY and the People’s Bus project. Through the creation of the ICTR we were able to deliver over 7000 ice creams and rights to the hardest covid hit neighborhoods in the 5 boroughs. We developed a song of rights in English and Spanish and over 24 different flavors of rights. We focussed on the JOY we could bring to the community. Each participant received a free ice cream and also a card with rights and a QR code which would lead to information specific to that right! Our focus was in housing rights, environmental rights and also immigrant rights.
Special thanks to the youth, People’s Pops and Big Shane’s Ice Cream.
